Would invading the Middle East been harder if..?

If the people over there were white? or at least looked culturally western? Middle Easterners look like aliens to us here in the states. They are very easy to dehumanize for us. Would it have been harder to watch dead arabs on the news if they at least dressed like us?

Imagine an errant bomb landing on an iraqi starbucks. Venti ice coffees, jeans, prada purses, dr. seuss books, and ipads scattered amongst the dead bodies. That's a harder image to swallow than a bunch of burka and turbans thrown everywhere.

It think It has the same effect as when Matthew Mconaghey's line from the movie A Time to Kill when he said ".... now pretend she was white".

You are missing the point . Point is Race and color or manor of dress makes no diff. Religion perverted and the lack of respect for life is the point. Hitler and his Nazi thugs were white and Germany helped during our revolt in the 1770's and we had no problem killing Germans in 2 wars. We are far from perfect but at least we kill for a reason and if you piss us off enough [like flying planes into our buildings] we will kill you !!!! If the middle east was a more of a modern society there probably wouldn't be any reason to invade the middle east if they had a stronger military there wouldn't be such a huge terrorist threat there. and we would of never had to invade
