Question:
What could be the reason for some of my postal mail not being delivered?

For the past three months I have not gotten a paper bill for my cable/phone/web despite them saying that they have been mailed. I ordered my vehicle registration to be mailed a month ago that never came. I haven't received a paper statement for my car lease payments either. Why could only these 3 types of mail only go missing? Could my mail be withheld or is my post office majorly screwing something up accidentally/on purpose?

Certain types of mail can't be forwarded. The DMV is one of them. If they have anything wrong with the address it just goes straight back to the DMV, and no one will tell you (this happened to me and caused me to not register my car in time! I legitmately forgot to change my address with them, I just put in the mail forward at the PO.)

Your bank also may not forward the mail. So its probably best to call and check. The fact that you are getting SOME of your mail, but not certain things is more indicative of something incorrect with your address, not the post office. As much as people like to blame things on the post office, they actually don't mess up as much as you think they do. They are good people and they work hard. That test is hard too! to be able to be allowed to carry mail!

Why don't you ask the post office and make sure the stuff was mailed. It sounds like you are trying to find an excuse for not paying your bills.

It's possible that the mail is being stolen, you gave them the wrong address, or you set it up for online bills and forgot.

I, along with others in my neighborhood were having the same problem but it was with all kinds of mail; birthday cards, Christmas cards, credit card and utilitity bills, etc. We would either deliver them to the rightful owner or mark wrong address on the correspondence.

Either the carrier was ill, lazy, experiencing dementia or whatever, but apparently the post office got a lot of complaints and we got a new carrier and thus far the mail seems to be working.

I would check with these places and make sure they have your address correct - verify your exact zip code (including any numbers that you might have to put after the 5 digits).

It's easy for a typo or other mistake to end up sending your mail someplace else (or in a 'dead letter' office).

I've gotten mail for some of my neighbors from time to time (some are mislabeled, others are just accidentally stuck in my box by the mailman). I always just take it to them, or stick it in their mailbox.

Other people might just toss it, and you would never know it had been sent.
