Question:
If diversity is such a great thing why are we trying so hard to get rid of it? ?

We are preached to constantly about how great diversity is, (there are even laws that exist to insure it) and if this is true, why do we keep procreating between the races resulting that in the future everyone looks the same thereby rendering this wonderful diversity thing extinct. It seems to me that if we are to preserve this universally accepted necessity known as diversity and all the great things that come with it, we should do everything we can to maintain the integrity and purity of the races? But there has not been a single public figure in America-especially those so hell-bent on diversity arguing for this-why? Something seems disingenuous doesn't it?

You couldn't be more wrong in your approach. When two people of another race procreate I'm sure it's about much more than race. It just may be that those two people fell in love with each other because of the common ground they shared from the heart and mind not the pigment of skin. Your argument is very shallow indeed.........

And what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent statement were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

This is either blatantly racist or extremely silly.

Encouraging diversity isn't about encouraging (or, I shudder to think discouraging) inter-racial relationships, it's about promoting tolerance, love, and understanding between all peoples. If that tolerance, love and understand leads to a black man and white woman falling in love and having babies, how does that "harm" diversity? In fact, I would say we have MORE diversity now as a result of interracial relationships - whole new "races" of people with unique combination of genes. Mulattoes (like me) aren't the only hybrid anymore.

I don't know what you mean by "maintain the purity of the races" but it sounds eerily Final-Solution-like to me. Did you have a small black mustache in another life?

Diversity is great. Freedom to love and have babies with anyone you want is also great.

I sincerely doubt that "everyone will look the same" in the future, as a simple matter of genetic probability. The children of any two people of differing race may have very different skin color, hair color, facial features, etc. I have 9 cousins, all with the same mother and father, and they are all different shades of brown, from just a bit tan to deep chocolate.

If everyone freely mixed their genes, we wouldn't all look the same. To explain why, imagine having a deck of red cards to represent caucasian genes, and a deck of black cards to represent african-american for example (replace with any other race if you want). You shuffle the deck together and pull out four cards, which represents an individuals genome. If you pull out four red cards, that person is white despite interbreeding. If you pull out four black cards, that person looks black. Most likely though you will pull out a mixture of red and black cards and thus that person would have a mix of both racial genes, and all of them would look unique.

Part of diversity comes from when unique lines converge, when philosophies and cultures clash against each other and sometimes make something new and unique. Separating everyone would actually create more genetic and culture monotony than racial and ethnic mixing. Thus, when diversity mixes, innovation happens and we all progress. Separating ourselves is just a way to slowly die as we fail to adapt.

Edit: Actually, you could shuffle the cards how ever many times you want. Given hundred or a thousand generations, the genes (represented by cards) would still be there and you could still pull out either four red cards, four black cards or any combination inbetween.

Here is a practical example of just what I'm talking about

I voted for abolishing Affirmative Action in Colorado which failed by 2%, I think.

Diversity means that anyone in any position can achieve whatever he or she wants without relying on props and aids to help the pursuit.

When you talk about race, I would like to bring up the South Park episode of the Future People who came back to present day, spoke one language and all looked the same.

Perhaps that is why the Middle East hates us so much, because we have mixed. Aren't we the only nation who has sith any success?

Because there may be force in team spirit, no longer in variety. Diversity is only a hoax. Look at China ninety% Chinese. USA is a % of the whole lot. The USA shall be doomed due to the fact of variety in two decades. Strength in team spirit

Sure?

It's great?

Look in the real world.

After the smokes settled and disappear.

Only then saw the mirage in time.

Read "1984" by George Orwell. He exposes "new-speak." In that, hate means love, war means peace, etc.

It's here in full force. What is true is what you want to be true. There is no innate reality any more. You invent reality. Welcome to the wonderful new world of PC.
