Question:
Should the Government sell the Postal Service to Fed-Ex or UPS?

I have sent thousands of packages using both Fed-Ex and UPS and they have lost two or three. The majority have arrived on time and undamaged. Fed-Ex has a slight edge over UPS. I've sent about four using USPS and they lost two, were late by weeks with one and completely destroyed the fourth. If you haven't done so in a while, go to your post office and just look at the slugs there. Eating, chatting on the phone, walking around like there is no hurry, treating people like they are God and you're damn lucky to be acknowledged. I sent a package with them to go overseas and I was given a receipt with a tracking number. After three weeks without the package arriving I tracked the it online using the tracking number they provided. It showed two statuses but after four weeks no more. I went to the local Post Office and first they tell me that what they gave me wasn't a tracking number. WHAT??? I said, "that's odd. I tracked it on your website and it accepted it in the box marked tracking number. And it gave me some history". Nope, was the response. After she wandered around asking her co-workers what she should tell me, one of them hollered out an 800 number. She advised that I go home and call it. WOW! Great customer service---go home and call?!?! So, I go home and call and the automated system tells me that there is no additional information available that I should "contact the shipper"!!!!! So am I to talk to myself????? Can you picture Fed-Ex or UPS treating a customer this way?
They lose $25 million a DAY! Fed-Ex and UPS are making a profit! Please call your representative and tell him or her to sell the Post Office. We can't afford a day care center for lazy slugs.

No,they shouldn't sell USPS unless they can keep prices cheap. FedEx charges $70 to ship a six ounce compact disc to Germany,USPS charges $9 for First Class International. About the item you sent, were you tracking the customs label number? They aren't usually scanned outside the USA. Consider adding registered mail when shipping to certain countries like Ukraine or Russia. You can track registered mail but maybe not on USPS. Use the website below. Make sure you select the destination country.

FedEx and UPS would die without USPS. The post office is the number one business partner with both. Neither want the job of door-to-door delivery. it's the most expensive part of the operation. They want the large-volume delivery business where profits are easy, and they have the right to turn away business they don't want. USPS doesn't have that option.

The Internet.

If we had kept Bell intact and leased servers to companies the US Internet access would not be a laughingstock.

Privatisation doesn't really work that great.

Sounds like the postal service tracked your package to the border and you are mad because they didn't follow it into some foreign country and deliver it for you? BS story anyway.

I know, I know. But that pesky Constitution still says it is the government's responsibility to provide mail service. And we know how you love the Constitution.

Neither.

Sell it to FEMA, then wait for an obama bailout.
