Please be kind enough to consider signing, and publicising the following e-petition, which stands for a ban on the sale of printed pornographic material in newsagents, petrol stations, supermarkets and the like, and for their sale to be restricted to licensed sex shops.

I have an idea! You could misuse Yahoo Answers by asking questions that aren't really questions but thinly veiled attempts to publicize your cause!

Whilst I agree with your sentiments and values, I know from a great deal of experience that you are barking up a tree without any possibility of success. Many have tried this cause and many have failed. Newsagents and other establishments sell men's magazines from the top shelf, which prevents most young children from seeing them. However, if you ban such magazines from the shelves of newsagents, should you not also ban the sale of The Sun, which has always had a topless page 3 girl for as long as I can remember. We live in a world where sex predominantly rules our lives. TV ads constantly sell goods using sex in one form or another to sell products from yogurt to face cream, ice-cream to cars. There is no getting away from it, no matter what restrictions to try to impose. Just take a walk on the beach on a hot Summer day and you will see everything you are ever likely to see in one of the magazine you are trying to ban from stores across the land. I'm not trying to say you should abandon your morals or your crusade to clean up the shelves of various establishments, but take a good look around you and realise that there are much more concerning issues to fight for in the country other than this one. And perhaps you would end up with a good deal more success than you will with this campaign.

Why don't i set up an e-petition of something that restricts your scope freedom. If people want to go into a Newsagents and buy porn that is there right and freedom to do so.

Social networks - facebook, twitter and the like - create a page or profile, and post the link to all your friends.
Local media (radio and newspapers) - they may not agree with the petition, but they might write an article or do a talk about it, which will at least alert people that it's out there.
If you know of any charities or groups that you believe would be interested, write to them about the petition.

You could stand out side some of those locations with your petition and ask people something like, "Do you like seeing pornography around your children?" or "What kind of melons do you see when you go to the market?" I'm not sure if you can print a petition and make it valid by scanning it into your computer but I would try.
Also use social media. Post it on random facebook pages that are only very slightly related to your cause. Seriously put it everywhere, tape it to poles in the street.
Try to get the sex shops on your side. this would increase theirs sales. they should like that.
I want to applaud you for standing up for what you believe in and doing something about it many people would not.

Here's a thought. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
