Are we coming close to a fascist Orwellian police state, controlled by governments, dogmatic religious groups and corporate powers in order to numb us down and make us slaves to their own agendas?

An example would be lies the British Government has fed the public with relating to the UK National DNA Database. The original story was that only 'convicted criminals' would be added.

Now it transpires that over 600 'INNOCENT' children are being added every WEEK!!

I worked for the Forensic Science Service in England when then originally started the database, and I can tell you for a fact that the numbers already far exceeded those quoted by the media.

I don't think England would be wise to give up the monetary system they currently have. Joining the Euro system would be the same as using the American dollar. You would be assimilated, with no identity then. I am an American, and I don't like the fascism going on with the Republicans, and the current Bush Administration. Americans wont go along with it for to long without a revolt, and I see that happening really soon.

I believe that both England and the US have been sliding towards a fascist state ever since 9/11... but that the British have it better off because more British people are willing to protest, and go against Tony Blair than Americans are willing to stand up to Bush.
