How did Bush become president if supposedly so many people hate him?

Bush approval ratings only started dropping after his second term began. His approval ratings during his first term were high because of 9/11. He wasn't elected the first time by an overwhelming majority and there is still debate about whether he won.



I don't hate him, to strong a word for someone I do not know personally. I think he is one of the worse presidents the US has ever had and I didn't vote for him either time.



He won the second one because people were swayed by his tactics or people again choose the lesser of two evils.

Add in his early 9/11 popularity bump, and the fact that his spectacularly incompetent and corrupt administration has been losing him support like mad throughout his second term, and you get the current situation of a standing presiden with extremely low popularity ratings.

He wasn't ever elected in either two terms. It's been proven that Diebold rigged the voting machines in his favor. He stole from Gore by Electoral votes but Gore won popular votes even though the votes were rigged it still came up with false votes that needed to be counted, The Supreme Court gave the Presidency in 2000 to Bush.

I wish they would throw out electoral votes and go with like it such be, the party that gets the most votes overall wins , just all other things counted. I don't think it is fair for a few people to get together that are given the right to make the electoral count for the whole state.
