Is obama a divider rather than someone who brings people together?

This past week it seems that the meeting with Israel and Palestine is now going to make relations worse between the two and Iran is trying to use obama as leverage to get higher grade nuclear material which all the other 5 nuclear nations are clearly against not to mention the more outspoken divisions in the U.S. are growing.
Does anyone have examples of how obama has brought anything together?
Any examples of how he gets Republicans together with Democrats to make effective bills to pass for Americans?
All I have heard is that he never even meets with Republicans.

The country is split. We break it down to a party division, which in reality is more accurately a division in core beliefs, so now we have liberals and conservatives, with people who ride the fence being in the moderates category.

These groups have their ideas about the direction they want this nation to go.

Obama represents one mindset of that split (Obama is a liberal) and so no, his chances of bringing all the people together are very slim. As his ideas for America's future, as well as the world, are diamterically opposed to the conservative's point of view, and many moderates, too.

As for Israel, there will be a peace treaty in Israel, but it will be very short lived. It will seem to be "the answer" at first, but it isn't. And woe to the "leader" or "leaders" who broker that so-called peace. Because when that peace treaty is signed and goes into effect, it starts the clock ticking to the ultimate war.

What I am talking about here is written in the Bible.

Believe it or disbelieve it, your choice. But it's truth.

So any time I see a US President trying to bring about a "peace treaty" between Israel and Palestinian Authority, I cringe. ESPECIALLY if it calls for dividing up the land of Israel. Very dangerous, as God is not pleased with any of it.

"Thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.

And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God." Ezekiel 28:25-26

Read also Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. Which will lay it all out for you.

Some problems are beyond 'fixing'. This is because the real actors involved don't want the situation to change..they have too much invested. This is a direct accusation against the reactionaries that have hijacked the GOP. They don't want to 'compromise' because they're fully committed to stooging for the real powers in today's world....the trans-national corporations. Right now the GOP is working feverishly giving political CPR to the HEALTH INSURANCE mafia...an entity that has no actual reason to exist except to extract money for the public. The problem here is that corporations need to be regulated. Like Victor Frankenstein's monster, the creators of corporations have lost control of them and to a growing extent corporations have even lost control of themselves. What kind of compromise or 'coming together' is possible with an entity that exists only to accumulate wealth, influence and power? North Korea and Iran may be an out of control countries, and the Palestinians and the Israelis may be in permanent conflict, but the corporate capitalism that the GOP defends causes more actual grief to more people than a few local thugocracies. When the GOP sees the light and begin to work for the 95% of us that work for wages we'll talk...until then the Republican party is the enemy of the working class. Give it a think!

He's been in office 9 months. In fairness compare what President Obama has done and current legislation on the table to ANY OTHER PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE US (this includes piggy back legislation that YOU and I don't know about because we didn't read the 1000 page proposal). President Obama brought together a majority of individuals who voted him President. "White" America doesn't have to vote a President in anymore. Nowadays we have what is called a collective minority or overall majority. This includes Caucasians, Hispanics, Native Americans, Asians, Africans, American Natives from different cultures etc. (I can't list them all too many) Barack Obama brought ALL of these people together to PROVE A POINT. If people still think he's a divider then so be it. They can lie to themselves and take it to their grave. When we believe one thing but the facts prove us wrong then it's out of our own stupidity that we continue down the wrong path.

Strange that you should ask. . .Haven't you noticed how divided he has made USA. Racism was almost wiped out and now look at it, there are more racist feelings going around now than before him.

He is trying to impose a Socialist government on the US citizens who do not want to go that route.

Look what he has done to our strongest ally Israel in the Middle East, he just about abandoned them in favor of his Muslim friends.

The general opinion is that he has some other agendas than what he is presenting and that is the main reason for division. Going at this rate he will be a one termer and known to be worst than Carter.

Divides like an ax. From the first thing he's involved in, was always rousing the people in an "us vs. them" tactic. In 1992, while he was working as a community organizer in Chicago, Obama headed the Chicago operations of Project Vote!, an ACORN effort to register voters nationally. In Chicago, Obama had his biggest impact registering African-American voters on Chicago's South Side. http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=97956

Andrew Thomas asks if you really believe that the next elections in 2010 and particularly 2012 will be the solution to the current socialist infestation? Do you think that people who are as addicted to power as Obama, Emmanuel, and Axelrod will passively accept their ouster in a fair general election? After fighting the good fight, will they gracefully withdraw from power?

The Obama administration currently controls the census, which can initiate creation of additional congressional districts in liberal areas of the country based on their populations as counted by leftist community organizers. The left dominates election committees and polling volunteers. If they decide to sabotage voting machines or vote tabulation software or servers, who will provide the oversight to prevent them from doing so? They run the largest organized voter fraud organization in the world, ACORN. Who knows what "October surprises" they have planned? Will we see the New Black Panther Party more actively menacing voters at the polls, since the Obama administration refuses to prosecute this voter intimidation?

Leftists do not see election fraud or other dirty tactics as illegal, immoral, or unethical. This is because the socialist agenda is for the good of the nation, a noble cause to promote and protect at any cost. In other words, the ends justify the means. In the final analysis, it is difficult to predict what they are capable of. The rules don't apply to them. We can only study the actions of other socialist leaders such as Lenin, Stalin, Castro, and Chavez, and make assumptions.

could no longer agree greater. it is so humorous gazing team Obama getting on right here attempting to play advantageous, then as quickly as they get virtually an entire board of solutions affirming that Clinton supporters won't vote Obama, the subsequent question the guy in many cases posts is in many cases on the attack, and the massive facade fades away. If Obama's spiteful supporters are something to flow by ability of, there is not any wish for a unified occasion, simply by fact Hillary's supporters are steadfast contained in the theory that Obama is by ability of a few distance the weaker candidate!

I would label him as a divider I think he is someone who would say "its my way or the highway". That's probably why republicans don't even want to meet with him. If you go against that train of thought your labeled as a racist or out of touch with main stream America. Its one example why Freedom is dying. We are an out spoken people and the other side doesn't want to hear it. Both sides. The rush to pass bills that are suppose to protect us are filled with pork that screw us somewhere else down the line.

He's effectively uniting the country against him. Does that count?

But other than that.. yeah. He's actively worked to divide the country. Blatantly refusing to talk to anybody who is not in 100% agreement with his politics.

Nope, the African American community is great, haven't seen so much progressive since the Civil Rights Era. So is every other community that voted for Change.

Despite what he says, he is the most partisan president in history.

no the Reps never showed up to the meetings he set up to address them. bipartisanship involves talking, not childish shouting or rabblerousing. honestly i say throw bipartisanship ot the window and get reform passed. if george the second was so fond of it i think they could understand when we have the executive branch, both houses and the courts. no offense reps, we just tryin to get things accomplished :)

Nope. He is bringing the world together. The world is more important than a couple of hillbillies upset a black man is the president.
