The country is split. We break it down to a party division, which in reality is more accurately a division in core beliefs, so now we have liberals and conservatives, with people who ride the fence being in the moderates category.
These groups have their ideas about the direction they want this nation to go.
Obama represents one mindset of that split (Obama is a liberal) and so no, his chances of bringing all the people together are very slim. As his ideas for America's future, as well as the world, are diamterically opposed to the conservative's point of view, and many moderates, too.
As for Israel, there will be a peace treaty in Israel, but it will be very short lived. It will seem to be "the answer" at first, but it isn't. And woe to the "leader" or "leaders" who broker that so-called peace. Because when that peace treaty is signed and goes into effect, it starts the clock ticking to the ultimate war.
What I am talking about here is written in the Bible.
Believe it or disbelieve it, your choice. But it's truth.
So any time I see a US President trying to bring about a "peace treaty" between Israel and Palestinian Authority, I cringe. ESPECIALLY if it calls for dividing up the land of Israel. Very dangerous, as God is not pleased with any of it.
"Thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.
And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God." Ezekiel 28:25-26
Read also Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. Which will lay it all out for you.
