Why is everyone mad at Obama for every little thing that goes wrong in this country?

I understand the anger the citizens have in regards to the economic downturn of the country, but what I don't understand is why everyone gets so angry at Obama for doing the things that the people wanted and elected him for? The people have wanted certain things for a very long time and now that he's doing/done it everyone is up in arms about it? we were left from bush with a deficit beyond reckoning from a warmongering daddy avenging cowboy. The pres has taken the cards that were laid in front of him and has tried to do something with them for the people. all the programs that have been requested by the people COST MONEY. People make it seem like one can start these initiatives without some cost to the people who requested them. whether or not they voted for them.
What did he promise everyone he would do?
Here it is:

End the War in Iraq: (his plan for moving the troops out of iraq and back home is in progress afghanistan is a setback but still in progress)

Create Jobs: stimulus package. tried to funnel money/jobs/programs to the people who needed it at the cost of the taxpayers as a whole. since that is what the people wanted. GREEN JOBS MORE DOMESTIC PRODUCTION. RESTRICTIONs on OUTsourcing just so the american citizen can have a JOB.

Address Immigration: His current fight with the arizona state government is proof he's trying to settle and take control of the issue.

Provide healthcare: THis has been asked by the people since the day of JIMMY CARTER. He does it as ASKED BY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE and there's all of a sudden an issue. Millions of americans doing the jobs which are needed for basic and cultural needs are being met with a problem? I guess you don't care if that server or the chef that made you that delicious filet mig'non that you just scarfed down hurts themselves while providing you a service that YOU asked for as long as you are satisfied in the end?

Housing crising; CONGRESS and the The pres even gave a 8000$ Tax credit to help people buy homes to help the economy and you guys are complaining?

Economic reform: we have the bank stimulus which was cause by greedy bastards who crippled the economy by scamming homeowners and causing the crisis, he establishes bank regulation policies, credit card reform policies. Just so the american taxpayer can have some money and stop being shafted by corporations.

Education reform: the guy has introduced heavy reform kicking bad teachers out and allowing the u.s. to move from being the bottom feeder of the international community so we can STOP OUTSOURCING LABOR to immigrants who come and take jobs that AMERICANS need. He wants the country to succeed and make sure we are competent enough to survive in the world. The guy even lowered the interest rates of school loans so we don't kill ourselves paying back the college education we have recieved and be prosperous.

Okay for the oil spill I agree to a degree that action needed to be quicker in response to the spill but really?

The guy gives us what we ask for and we spit in his face because it happens to be inconvenient at the time? where did you think all this stuff was going to come from? cause I know for damn sure you all weren't going to pay for it. I understand that some people feel that they shouldn't have to pay for services that they aren't using but at the same time, the common good, the morals that america prides themselves on. the american dream. is okay if only some of us can have it eh? Sounds like bigotry to me! Can you let the man do the job you asked him to in 2008-09? There will always be problems, casualties etc. Just give it a chance he's trying to help you. just in case your world goes to hell in a handbasket he's trying to make sure you don't kill yourself while getting back up.

I can't speak for other people, but I am mad at him because he's not giving me what I'm asking for. I want a return to free market principals and a smaller government. Everything he does goes against that end.

Creating jobs through stimulus? Every dollar he's using to create jobs is a dollar that was first removed from the economy. If those dollars hadn't been taxed away, the people who earned it would be creating jobs with it. He doesn't care about jobs, he just wants government jobs.

This economy was not created exclusively by "greedy banks". It was caused by the government who thought that everyone should own a house, regardless of whether or not they could pay for it. So the government pushed for easier lending, the banks went along with it, hoping for easy profits, and then when the bubble popped only the banks took the blame.

Oh about the school loans? The government said I don't qualify for ANY student loans, and because Obama and congress made it so only the government can give student loans, I'm stuck without enough money to afford an education. Thanks, Obama.

"but at the same time, the common good, the morals that america prides themselves on. the american dream. is okay if only some of us can have it eh? Sounds like bigotry to me! "

Not at all! If you want to bring about the common good, donate money to charity! The difference between liberals and conservatives is that conservatives believe that people should be free to help their fellow man as much or as little as they want. Liberals believe we should be forced to give to others, and be thrown in jail if we don't.

End the war in Iraq?-It's still going on, now we also have a war in Afghanistan with no real exit strategy for either.

Create jobs?-Show me one single job.

Address Immigration? Arizona did what they did because he would not do his job. All he had to do was tell Arizona to rescind the law and the federal government will be sending in reinforcements. What did he do? he shook hands with the President of Mexico and told him Arizona was wrong and He would help the Mexicans-Treason as far as I'm concerned.

Provide health care? He provided nothing. His crappy bill that he shoved down everyones throats just forces us to pay for something from a private company that we may not want. Even those who were for a health care change were against this particular bill.

Housing crisis? More people are losing their home today then were losing them a year ago. Even with the tax credit, most cannot get a mortgage.

Economic reform? He just played a shell game. Just wait, it will become clear to you in about 6 months.

Education reform? Not the business of the federal government.

Why do I blame him? Because he took the job knowingly and has done nothing but make things worse. Our economy is a beautiful house of cards built on sand-it will soon collapse.

There were unusual circumstances when he took office, very scary ones that we aren't used to dealing with, things that were going to leave us broke, in debt, without respect, jobless and with our people trying to handle the idea that they should go broke trying to save the lives of their children while insurance companies were the only steady profit makers. And we were at war in two countries that apparently couldn't and can't run themselves without resorting to corruption and drug dealing.

Now comes Obama...and its not all fixed up in less than two years. We are a nation devoted to TV solutions, over and out in an hour. Maybe two if its a special. That's not real life.

There is another, more insidious reason. The press and the TV pundits keep telling us how awful it is, but not when things go well, when people are helped, when things ease up even a little, they concentrate on bad news, and they don't put things in perspective.

The idea that we beat up on Bush so its ok for the right to beat up on Obama is childish and illogical.

Bush set policies in motion that created or encouraged a good deal of our present problems, Obama at best has had to play catch up, and no one knows what rules this game is being played by.

We've never had this happen all at one time before, and that's going to make things crazy for a while.

Look at how they try to make Obama the fall guy for the BP explosion, even you aren't aware that there was government involvement from the beginning. From the moment the Coast Guard went out to fight the fire and try and rescue the people on the rig.

The classic case is that the country needs more tax money to pay for the war Bush put on the national credit card, to pay for unemployment benefits for people who are just hanging on waiting for the recession to end so business starts hiring. Yes extending benefits are needed, right now they are still contributing, in purchases for food and energy, and those benefits are taxable so we get some back, eliminate them and the state will just have to increase their welfare rolls.

Name me one man who will run and win on a platform of more taxes, and less services?

For the same reason people were mad at President Bush. Because he's the President. People don't really seem to need much of a reason.

Nice article. More of an opinion piece than a question. You should send it to a local newspaper as a letter to the editor or something.
