Hi

Does anyone know what the Exception Handling Unit is at Disclosure Scotland?

Ive sent away for a basic disclosure for myself and i have received a letter from the Exceptions Handling Unit saying I have to contact them before they can continue to process my application form?

They are not open over the weekend so im just wondering if anyone knows what this would be about before i call them on Monday, or if any ones had any experience of them i would be greatful to know what or who they are.

Thanks

Kim

Certainly nothing to worry about. The most likely reason for the letter is that it will be due to a query regarding your 5 year residential address history, your Mother's Maiden Name, or your own current and/or previous names.

The Exception Handling Unit often send out these letters even to query information that is correct just to ensure that they are providing the Disclosure for the right individual. I submitted an application just before the start of London 2012. When I called the Unit in response to receiving the letter I was told that there were 73 current applications for people with the same name - it is just a process to ensure that errors are minimised where possible.

It just means you've either missed a question or they need more Information about your Form

it happens all the time

Looks like there's a query over your application, what that is no-one can tell you but them when you speak to them.
