And I've applied for job seekers allowence, Now that I'm on this I have recieved a letter from the Job centre asking me and my boss as to why i lost my job,

after this a decision will be made as to weather i will get JSA or not.

I THOUGHT that the whole point of JSA was a safety net for those that loose their jobs ?

anyways, I lost my job, because i misplaced some customer orders which resulted in a bad reputation online for the company, I have stated this and so has my boss.

the paper asks my ex boss two things weather i did my best but was not suitable or unsatisfactory conduct on my behalf.

so he has stated unsatisfactory conduct, for carelessness, as well as i did my best but not suitable for the job.

erm am i going to loose my benefit ?

No, he would have to have told them you were sacked specifically for gross misconduct to be refused JSA, e.g. theft, arson, violence... etc.

No you will be ok, if you got fired for something serious like theft or being drunk then you would lose your money, it will take a few weeks for them to sort your claim and while you are on JSA they will drive you crazy, you will have a type of diary that you have to put down the jobs you applied for and must be at least 3 per week and then they want you to follow up on the application, you will be called to meetings every few weeks to find out what you are doing to look for a job, this is separate from your fortnightly sign on days - when they keep asking what you are doing tell them you have been looking into going to college but you are waiting to see if you can afford it, tell them you have been looking at jobs abroad, look for a site for the type of jobs you could do in Abu Dhabi or similar place and check out the websites, register with every online jobsite and you will receive emails for jobs in your area and press apply and that way you do not know who the job was with so you cannot follow it up. Last year when I was unemployed for 11 months I applied for over 9000 genuine jobs in admin/finance/retail and I got 3 interviews and the job always went to the person with the highest uni degree and there was over 2000 people applying for every job, I have over 30 years work experience and a list of college certificates, Good Luck

You will have your say if you dispute the answers to the questions. Not being up to the job is cause for dismissal but not to lose the JSA. If you were dismissed for gross misconduct then you would not get the JSA.

By the way you spell the word WHETHER this way. If you are talking about the sun or rain or the clouds you spell the word WEATHER.
