You should not be getting your benefits. The federal government WILL catch up with you, it may take a month, a year, or two, they will catch up with you. Your employer has to report your earnings to the IRS, they in turn notify SSI. It is called an IRS alert. Best thing to do is to take your pay stubs to SSI and report your wages. Your benefits will go down but you will still end up with more in your pocket working vs not working.
