Felony or misdemeanor? How long ago? How old were you? What did you vandalize? It is not a yes or no kind of thing, the totality of the circumstances would have to be know and considered.

I think you'll be okay.

There are no medical requirements, per se, although there is mention of nonage and dotage. These apply to ones' mental capabilities not their physical abilities.

I know many Masons, not all old, that are handicapped, including a paraplegic.

I don't think you were trying to join any mainstream form of Masonry if you had to get a physical. I've never heard of such a thing.

Medical requirements? When did we get those? We raised a mason who had a broken leg. Did it from a wheelchair.

As far as the conviction, depending on what it was, you can be admitted, be honest with the lodge.

You know that is a good question. I remember when I was in my teens. See I had a lot of relatives that were brothers in the lodge, and I wanted to do it too when I got older. So when I got into trouble for getting drunk and throwing acorns at cars at 16 I was also worried about this. Fortunately for me, I never was able to become a mason regardless of my criminal record because of the medical requirements for initiates.

If it's a misdemeanor, then yes.

NOTES:

There are no 'medical requirements' to become a Freemason.
