Question:
Does anyone commemorate Pearl Harbor Day anymore?

After all the memorializing of 9/11, Pearl Harbor Day is coming up in a few months (Dec. 7). Not in any way to belittle 9/11, which was a horrible tragedy, but does anyone even remember Pearl Harbor Day anymore? It was an attack on American soil in which over 2000 lives were lost. Just because it's farther in the past doesn't mean it has no significance today. It almost feels like many Americans have forgotten this holiday. I always take a minute of silence on 9/11 and Pearl Harbor Day. So what did you do today for 9/11, and do you do anything for Pearl Harbor Day?

I do, one of my Uncles is still in the Arizona. I also lost 3 childhood friends on 9/11. I go to church and light a candle for them all on the appropriate day and pray that they are in heaven with our Father.

Je me souviens. I remember. That was 18 months before I was born but I still honor the memory. My dad served on the liberty ships and mom had several Japanese-American friends who were interred so I heard a lot of stories. A visit to the Pearl Harbor museum a few years ago assured me that my tear ducts still work. FDR said "today is a day that will live in infamy".

My now deceased father-in-law was a Pearl Harbour Survivor.

I have always acknowledged December 7th as a special day of remembrance.

But then I am a Patriot.

Pearl Harbor has no value as a political tool.

9/11 is GLITTERING with golden political value.
