It amazes me how ignorance and hatred go hand in hand. All these people wishing Castro dead are probably the most ignorant of his actual actions. Before you say someone must die, you should really look into what they do and have done. The US media have always painted him as a bad guy, but the only thing he ever did bad was allowing the USSR to put missiles on his land...but being a tiny little country like that...would you say no?

The people that are always trying to leave Cuba are generally those that were making lots of money off of the previous government's corruption. Or they didn't have the patience to wait for the reforms that Castro was trying to institute, but with no money. There have been sanctions on Cuba since Castro took control of it...because he demanded that Cuban workers get paid. Yet despite the sanctions that have crippled the country, Castro has managed to give quality health care (as good as possible what with the embargo), and education rated significantly higher than America's, and has been slowly building the economy.

Yeah, he's a dictator. Yeah, he was tough at first...out of neccessity, but overall has done much for not only Cuba, but many other nations that receive aid from Cuba. Castro was one of the largest single contributors to the Katrina Aid project, as well as to Indonesia after the tsunami.
