at ntervals on the street there will be fire hydrents and or tap points for the hoses if not then under fire saftey regs in the building and planning codes no street can be build without fire access including the length of the street. eg if there are no acces poiunts on the street then the length off the street cannot be longer than the 1.5 x maximum length off the fire departments shortest regulation hose.

contact both the local fire dept and ambulance srvice and see what plans they have to access your address it should already be in place. if not research the matter with local authorities. city or county. and develop a plan to present to them for approval. help them fix it do not just complain about it. if you get some thing done then let your insurance co know as it will affect your rates.

It`s very wise to put this matter into consideration. Just look at the Victorian`s Arsoners what they have done. And now, Perth is threatened.

Please write/phone/E-mail to your local Council. If possible give them a visit personally.

Are there bollards stopping cars from getting by? If so the fire department will have ways of removing these.

Go into your nearest town and talk to the fire brigade. Also, properly equip yourself with fire fighting equipment and know how to use it.

write a letter to the council and the local fire brigade voicing your concerns

They already know, its probably reflected in the cost of insurance.

The protection of fire, police and ambulance, doesn't extend to everywhere

Without knowing where you live, I can only suggest contacting your local governmental authorities.

Visit your nearest fire station and ask them what they might do.
