Question:
If President Bush WASN'T a Christian, would you liberals still hate him?

I was talking to my Pastor after church yesterday. He told me that liberals don't like President Bush cause President Bush has got good Christian Moral Values. Liberals don't have no moral values.

Ummmm, first of all your pastor is a moron. Here are the reason's you should hate bush. He has absolutely no concern about the envrionment, he couldnt give a care if global warming is happening or not. He has us in a very unpopular war that is taking longer than WWII and there is still no end in sight. He is completely ignoring the advice of congress. He keeps on pushing the troop surge when everybody is telling him its a bad idea. He is extremely homophobic. I mean, come on, pushing for an amendment for gay marriage, how silly is that. Because all queers are destroying the moral fabric of society (btw sarcasm). Bush only tries to justify his actions by hiding under his "faith." He's not being a good christian, he's being a good POLITICIAN. Keep in mind who the majority that elected him was the Christian Community. So in a sense he has to keep them happy.

Like a majority of Liberals in this country I am a Christian. I could care less what Bush's religious beliefs are. It's his actions I oppose and I oppose them because I am a Christian not in spite of it. Do I understand your question, Bush has good Christian values? I think that Bush is trying to have it both ways, telling everyone he is Christian and not having to act like one. Ask yourself friend, would Jesus do all the things Bush has? Would he lie to the public, would he bomb people, would he put our young people in harms way for profits? If Jesus were running the show how would he treat the poor, the sick and how would he treat other countries?

Do you ride the short bus? The president is an idiot and would be even if he was not a christian. It is obvious the man does not have a mind of his own. He can't even read his own speeches. Is WAR a part of your president's moral values too? How moral is that, or how christian is that to kill people? Do you think your god agrees with war since you know all about these morals and things?

Most definitely!!!! Being a "Christian" is no excuse for being stupid. Moreover, there are a heck of a lot of Christian liberals out there. In fact, you might be interested to know that most politicians who tout being a "Christian" are just in it for the election. Pres. Bush is a really good example of just that. He knew where the $$$ was at the moment. Instead of asking your pastor, go to some intellectual sources - study Political Science and find out the facts for yourself. It's all about image, image, image - what the people want at the moment. Be smart about politics. You'll be a better citizen for it.

George Bush is a member in great standing with the Skulls and Bones. He can NOT be a Christian AND a member of that group. Too bad you and your preacher don't know that. The Skulls and Bones are evil...and you can not serve two Gods. Bush does not worship the same God as I do. That is what is wrong with the churches of today...they are truly ignorant(lack of knowledge) of the reality of what goes on in politics. Please pass this important information along to your pastor, OK?

I am a Liberal and I am a Christian. How dare you or your pastor claim to be Christian and pratice that kind of Judgement on me or anyone else. You and your pastor may be Christians but you certainly seem to be forgetting the teachings of christ concerning judgement of others. There is no way you can claim your judgement on me is in anyway Christ like.

I do not hae President Bush or anyone else. I disagree strongly with his actions in the Middle East and his attempts to erode our civil rights here in this country. I also have a serious problem with the debt he is piling up that my children will eventually be responsible for.

When you have developed an understanding of Christianity which includes Christs words on judging others let me know. Then I will explain to you in detail my moral values.

What the heck does him being christian have to do with the fact that he is a TOOL? Hes a dumb ***.. Honestly..Im Canadian.and I see how he has messed up your country.. I have many us friends that are not liberal and still think bush is a idiot. So..Your pastor needs to get a clue...God has nothing to do with politics

Dislike him, yes--I don't hate anyone.

But my objection to Bush is not that he's a "good Christian"--but that he--and the rest of the extreme religious right--are in fact NOT good Christians.

They have substituted their political ideology for what Christ taught--and what they--and Bush--say and do does not follow Christ's teachings. And that is why Bush is disliked--especially by the majority of American Christians who are NOT part of that extreme right.

So are saying that the people who want to save all our soldiers lives have no moral values? Doesn't the bible say thou shall not kill, and love they enemy? I'm pretty sure that someone who does the exact opposite of both have very little moral values.

Besides being a Jack Christian, his attempts to establish an American executive droit de seigneur scheme via signing declarations is an absolute sin against God and man.

All bush believers will be consigned to eternal fire.

ROFLMAO....what in the world makes you think he IS a christian??? Because his speechwriters have given him a few prayers to recite??? By their fruits you will know them

Actually if your pastor is claiming that liberals as a group are not christian then he needs to read his bible more. Republicans as a group tend to offend me, but many conservative republicans are very decent, God fearing christians. Actually DEMOCRATS as a group offend me, but many liberal democrats are very decent God fearing christians. As groups go, more democrats tend to ACTUALLY try to follow what Christ taught.

Matt 7:15-17 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17. Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringent forth evil fruit.

So, if your pastor is telling you that an entire group of people (which he does not know) are immoral is he teaching Christ's love or is he giving you evil fruit???

John 13:34 (Christ speaking) A new commandment I give unto you. That ye love one another as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

I am a Christian. I have a moral values. And I am not only a liberal. I'm the worst kind. A bleeding heart. My heart tells me what is moral and what is not.

It tells me that to fight a war that will have no end, a war started on known lies, a war that has cost billions and will cost billions more, a war that has led to the death of thousands and wounding of tens of thousands is, in fact, an immoral war.

He isnt a Christian, Christians dont kill for oil, and they know how to complete full sentences... and I agree with the first guy, why is a pastor talking about politics? Seperation of state and church right? He should be preaching about how 2 find peace.

W is not a christian. Hardly anyone is nowadays. Christians follow the teachings of Christ.

Liberals hate W because he is a moron and a criminal. He is not the president-the supreme court (you know, those activist judges?) put him in that position. So please, enough of the liberal/conservative bashing. Its so tiring.

I don't like Bush and I don't believe he is a Christian because if he was he wouldn't lay drunk all the time, he would not continue this war when the bible says thy shall not kill and have a daughter that was a drunk an another that was gay

it's not the fact that he's christian, it's the fact that he pushes his christian values on all the people in a country that is supposed to allow religious freedom. for example, people that do not believe that being gay is wrong are not allowed to marry because of people that do have those beliefs due to religious reasons.

Bush isn't a Christian. Christians take Jesus' example and PRAY for their enemies. Not attack them for no good reason.

I don't care if he's christian or buddist. He has killed thousands of people and only wants more. He is a war-monger and we must get him out before (if it isn't too late) he finishes ruining our country!!!
