The only "cult" that J.K. Rowling is responsible for starting is the one that believes she's a good writer.

Trying to figure out where you read that anyone wanted to ban J.K. Rowling books from public schools in that article. Do you think these people, who obviously have extreme views, have enough power to enact such a ban or are you lumping all christians into the same group as these people because you are a prejudiced bigot?

Because they are fiction I am not in favor of banning them. Fiction genres such as science fiction and fantasy suspend reality and as long as this point is taught to students then they should be able to read it. I am also a Christian and I would not to see the Bible censored because there are passages in the Bible (especially in the Old Testament) that would be considered inappropriate such as Lot's daughters being impregnated by their father, the book Song of Solomon which would be racy in its entirety, King David's adultery and having the husband of Bathsheba sent to the front lines which would mean his certain death. Lot, David, and Solomon were favored by God.

Not from public schools, no, but I so support parents controlling what their kids are exposed to in their own homes.
