Why is it that all the racists in the world are conservative?

Whether it's illegal immigration (brown people), terrorists (brown people) or Obama (a brown person), that conservatives get such a thrill out of being such bigots? Only serious answers please!

It follows that racists would be conservative. Conservatives, by definition, want to preserve society and even go back to the past. They oppose progressive philosophies and liberalism. But it does not follow that all conservatives are bigots. It also does not mean that all liberals are in favor of integration. There are a lot of private country clubs with a predominantly liberal membership that do not admit persons of color as members. There are also a few black conservatives. As wealth becomes more equally distributed among the races, you may see this distinction disappear.

I don't judge terrorists by the color of their skin. Can you answer this, why do terrorist kill anyone that gets in their way? For Gods sakes, do you think they're thinking about the color of someones skin? All? So the Nazi's were conservatives? I didn't know that. And the Black Panthers, they were conservatives? Sorry, but racists come in all shapes, colors and creeds. And most would be considered radicals, not conservatives.



I don't like illegal immigration. I have no problem with immigration, it's following the law that I require.

I'm not a fan of Obama because I think he is too liberal. He wants to change everything. I'm not saying things don't need to be changed, but I want details on how he plans to change it, not just saying it needs to be changed. I don't care if he is white, black or green. Then how do you explain black/brown conservatives? I'm south asian/ hispanic and I'm a libertarian. Libertarians have a lot in common with TRUE conservatives. The socialists(democrats) have always been the racists. It just isn't perceived that way. Affirmative action is racist. Its a handout and an insult to people who work hard to achieve something. They are chosen based on what they are (something they have no control over) instead of their achievements.

First of all, illegal immigration has nothing to do with the color of a person's skin. Those of us who oppose illegal immigration oppose it whether the illegal alien CRIMINALS come from Mexico, Ireland, or Canada for that matter. Where is the racism in that?



We oppose terrorists because terrorists chose to engage in a cowardly campaign of aggression, not against our military, but against over 3,000 innocent civilians. Recognizing the threat of terrorism has nothing to do with race. Where is the racism in that?



We oppose Mr. Obama because his campaign is completely devoid of substance, becuase he lacks real leadership capability... in short, because he is not the best choice to lead this nation. Where is the racism in that?



Now then... if you knew history, you'd know that the Republican party, the party which has traditionally (though not in recent days) held the Conservative view, was started here in Michigan as a party of ABOLITIONISTS. Abolitionists, since you seem to have so little knowledge of history, were those who, whether they lived in the North, South, or West, opposed slavery and worked to see it ended. Abraham Lincoln, a Republican, is the man who is credited with ending slavery here in Michigan.

This is one of the most ridiculous questions. Why is this coming up so much? I'm not voting for Barack because I don't agree with his views. Condi Rice, Colin Powell- I'd so vote for either of them! They're very amazing people.

Illegal immigration is not being racist. They are ILLEGAL. They are not supposed to be in this country because they did not get the proper papers to do so.
