Question:
how are liberals different from communists?

Both liberals and communists believe that the benefits of society outweigh the benefits of the individual. I don't see a difference in fundamental beliefs of communists and liberals.

I have data from my other question in which I asked conservatives and liberals what they felt was more important, society or the individual. The majority of liberals favor society over the individual.

The difference is that one group calls themselves Liberals, while the other group calls themselves Communists.

Other than that, there really is no difference.

When you look at the former Eastern Bloc, you'll find remarkable similarities with Liberal ideals.

While communism seems like a nice idea to some, it simply doesn't work, and ANY communist country; former or current, is proof of that.

And when you talk to most people who lived in the Eastern Bloc, you'll find that communism is a living hell.

A lot of people who preach communism are from the West, who have never actually experienced life in a communist country.

Liberals want everyone to get the same pay regardless of effort or capability. The government collects everything and the government decides how to give it out. This is done by having more ‘have nots’ than ‘haves’ and convince classes of people they are entitled to benefits without sacrifice as long as the vote liberal. The Union Card check is trying to strong arm union worker to know how they vote. The liberal elites in this country are hypocrites. They talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. Communists force everyone to work in order to get their pittance. If you don’t work they kill you. A country cannot function if everyone is a lazy liberal. Just like a wagon cannot move if it only has passengers and no horses. The liberalism to the extreme will lead to communism or the country will go bankrupt. The 3rd option is the capitalist approach which people are motivated to earn more to have a better life. You are paid for what you contribute. Each generation does better than their Father’s. The America Dream. Which Obama is trying to destroy. Just like Hugo Chavez has done in Venezula. Goverment take over of business. That's communism.

The difference between a liberal and a communist is the difference between a democrat and a communist, is the difference between a socialist and a communist.

Socialists are content to boil the frog slowly by gradually turning up the heat. Communists grab the frog out of his cozy little heated jacuzzi, take him outside, and execute him in front of a firing squad. Socialists are content to win victories at the ballot box. Communists want to have a revolution in which they kill off everyone who disagrees with them. Socialists want to screw you, but they want to do it in such a way that you do not think badly of them for it. Communists want to screw you, but they don't give a crap what you think about it.

So, communists are, you might say, impetuous and impatient socialists.

"the yank human beings will in no way knowingly undertake Socialism. yet below the call of 'liberalism' they are going to undertake each and every fragment of the Socialist application, till sometime united statesa. would be a Socialist u . s ., with out understanding the way it surpassed off." -Norman Thomas, Presidential Candidate for the Socialist celebration Later he went directly to assert, "I now no longer might desire to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist celebration. The Democratic celebration has accompanied our platform." there is in certainty no longer lots difference. they have numerous classes that redistribute wealth. The tax equipment is uneven and unfair and punishes the helpful for reaching the yank dream which mockingly adequate, maximum, if no longer, each and every person strives for. Democrats spend with no lead to sight with out thank you to pay for any of it. the recent Deal by using FDR did no longer end the super melancholy; the tax cuts later did. each and every of the recent Deal did replaced into positioned us below this huge burden it somewhat is crippling our u . s .. "the recent Deal is it seems that an attempt to realize a working socialism and stay sparkling of a social cave in in united statesa.; it somewhat is particularly parallel to the successive 'rules' and 'Plans' of the Russian test. human beings shirk the be conscious 'socialism', yet what else can one call it?" Margaret Thatcher places it remarkable while asserting, "There could be no liberty till there is financial liberty."

Liberals are communists who know that it's not possible to get communism instituted all at once. It takes a little time, it has to be done in steps, and the biggest steps can only be taken when, say, the deficit balloons to many tens of trillions of dollars and the whole system crashes.

communism believes that government should be an ongoing service of the peoples' lives, there is no religion as the state is all that matters while liberalism believes in individual freedom and equality and it lets religion be practiced freely.

by the way, i have a feeling that you already have made up your mind and only are seeking reassurances.*

That's such a rediculous definition. Even the staunchest conservatives recognize that the benefits of society sometimes outweight the benefits to the individual.

Also your example tends to link Christianity to Communism, which I don't think you intend to do.

Liberals are more concerned with others than themselves, that tends to be true. It's a more evolved way of thinking about the world.

Your ignorance is really quite staggering!

Well done! Your powers of logic are also quite confounding!

So did Timothy McVeigh's "individual rights" outweigh those of society? Was it just "liberals" that locked him up and got him killed?

How do you live with yourself?

if you're wondering about favoring society, as in individuals and not just including myself. then yes.

I'm unselfish in my desire to care about not only myself, but others as well. I don't care what political group that makes me, it makes me a good human being.

We believe in Capitalism. We just don't believe in unregulated shark eat Nemo capitalism. We believe that competition and cooperation in proper mix is a better scenario than unregulated competition. And yes we believe that society is a better place to live than on a desert isle.

And despite GOP Rhetoric, we do believe in personal incentive. That's why you have to work before you can draw unemployment when your corporate master screws the pooch and you loose your job because of it.
