Lol I sense a self answered/rhetorical question?
Personally I don't like tax breaks for the rich. I have rich relatives and they are jerks. My mom was in the hospital unable to pay bills and guess what they did, nothing. My mom sacrificed her education for her sister in Vietnam (my mom worked to allow her sis and other siblings to go to high school, etc) and she does nothing back. Nice huh?
Sometimes they don't earn it from a hard day's work. Sometimes it's just "gambling" from the stock market. (Face it, the stock market is gambling. It so is.)
Apparently I found out that the reason why rich people live in Beverly Hills is that oil is underneath their land? And that the government doesn't charge property tax for land sitting on oil apparently.
My mom works FIFTY hours per week at a frenetic pace and she is unable to take care of her self (she has no frivolous expenses whatsoever)... partially because her medical bills (cancer) are ridiculous. I now have to move home with her even though I'm a starving student because I have to take care of her.
I think it's a shame when in a country as rich as the United States, A FULL TIME JOB isn't enough to sustain yourself only.
The only thing my mom and I can do now is kill ourselves. Can't rich people buy a regular house and a regular car? My mom's lifelong dream of living in a house will probably never come true and it makes me angry.
Edit: And by rich I mean mega-rich.
Edit 2:
My mom is 58. You're supposed to have an easier time as you get older. At this rate my mom will work until she dies. Just like my dad. All of this makes me so angry.
